Default Hi or Low Gear for racing - Prairie

I'm starting to race my 04 P700 and would like to know if you guys race in Hi or low gear?

i would think you would stay in hi all the time unless you need to pull somthing really heavy....dosnt make too much sense to race in low if your gonna race xc or any racing for that matter.......

High gear would be your gear of choice. Though, i did see racers in low gear in the tarracross this summer.

Thanks. That's what I thought, I just noticed on Nyroc's site that he suggests using Low gear as much as possible to increase belt life.

Yup, you are correct about using low gear as much as possible when not racing. IM practically always in low gear but when in racing sutuations, you are always on the gas so your belt will always have a good hold with the clutch and you will be fine. Good luck
