Default Lakota Carb issues

HELP HELP HELP

Have a 2000 Lakota, has always run and started great. Had a problem with something getting sucked up in the carb. I pulled it apart to clean it and put it all back together. I now have a problem where it runs like the choke is on. I bought a new Choke plunger and installed it. Same thing. I have pulled everything on the carb apart multiple times and cleaned it. I have the air mixture screw set at 2 1/4 turns. Have tried to adjust that up and then down, no go. Any ideas on what else to try would be helpful. Oh, it is getting pleanty of gas from the gas take, tried the drain screw and always get some out. I even cleaned the petcock to make sure. Thanks guys, this is driving me crazy. I think I can pull, clean and install my carb in under two minutes flat, now that I've done it a million times. Thanks

Scott

is your main or pilot jet still cloged...try cleaning the main and pilot jet passageways......how far into the carb did you go...or did you only have the float bowl off....it has been a while since i messed with the stock carb because ive had my 36mm mikuni for around a year and it is much simpler to work on imo.......

I have had the carb completely taken apart, every jet and everything that can be cleaned, cleaned. I have checked all the jets as well. I pulled off the main diaghram off last night and everyting is fine in there as well. The machine starts up great like the choke is on then starts chopping out. If I turn the choke on it gets worse. It is acting like the choke is on but I checked that and it is fine. It really has me stumped. Thanks for the replies.

I don't know if it's like the stock Mojave carb, but it has a starter jet along with the main. When I bought mine the two were switched around and it would start but run bad. Hope that helps

Thanks for all the help guys. Figured it out. I bought a carb kit and low and behold, an extra part in there. There is a piece that sits above the main jet seat that I had misplaced. Once I put that in there, the machine now runs fine, well kind of, it needs a little adjustments now as it doesn't rev up completely clean, but it is running and idling fine. Thanks for all the help.
