Default Prarie 360 vs ?????????

I was searching the internet im looking for my first a.v.t im 185-195 pounds 5' 10' im looking at bomardier but cant afford it im looking to spend about 5,000 and found the prarie 360 it has alot or big qaud features like the diff lock, liquid cooled, and mac pherson struts. but heres alot more out there i live in an area were if i buy any other brand but bomarider i have to travel 70 or 100 miles for warrenty work on the quad so is kawasaki somthing i can trust not to have to run to the shop all the time. Will it be good for hunting trail riding and i heard it has a punch when you gas it. any input would be nice any problems i might expect i also heard kawasaki is going under ? is this quad better than the polaris hawkeye, honda rancher, yamamha bruin 350, and sukuzi eiger 400 ? im really looking at the yamaha bruin 4x4 but the kodiak is so close in price ? Oh yeah how is it in the snow, mudd and water i live where there is alot of snow ??

Default Prarie 360 vs ?????????

Take a look at the thread started by chambo10 a few days back, he ask the same question. Thread was titled "360 enough to plow?" or something like that. Also, as far as I know all of the P360's are air cooled.

I have an 04 360 Prairie and it's been very reliable. I work it pretty hard and it starts on a few turns every time. The only things I've had to replace were the 4X4 Acuator (If you do get a 360 and pressure wash it stay away from that acuator) and the left mud flap ( Myfult hit a frozen mud hole at 30Mph at -2F). If you want to goa any faster than 40mph start looking at another machine. It has good power especally in the low and mid range but it will top out at 47 mph. It will get to 30 pretty quick but it takes for ever from there to get to the speed. Over all though on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give the 360 prairie an 8. If you want something kinda snappy check out the 400 eiger. My neighbor has one and it will spank me when we race but I am 50 pounds heavier. Although I can go places in 2-wheel drive that he has trouble with in four wheel drive. The Prairie also has much better brakes and is much more comfortable.

Try posting about the Bruin on the Yamaha board and posting about the hawkeye on Polaris board. I never liked Polaris much seems like they give owners alot of problems but I've never owned one so I can't tell you for sure.
