ATV clutch not engaging properly?
#1
I have a 2000 Kawasaki King Quad 300 4x4. The last time i used the atv was about a month ago for ice fishing and everything was fine. Since then i took it off the trailer and could not get the dang thing to shift properly. It would skip gears or not properly engage into a gear at all. Is my clutch shot i am wondering, or does it have a fluid problem? I was thinking there could be some moisture in the oil/clutch fluid resevoir from driving it through the snow/slush (possibly). I also left the hand brake engaged and locked when i stored it which shouldn't make a difference. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks for the support.

ok now go to your machine. If it says Suzuki King quad it's a suzuki. I f you have a bayou the shifter is probably just bent in wards, if you bend it out it shouln't skip. you have a wet clutch so I don't think it's the clutch could be the gears but I don't think so because you would still have reverse. If you have a KVF300 you probably have oil in your clutches
