Personally 400 but it just fits my riding better, so just depends on what you want it for. Have a friend that has a KFX 700 and it nice but a little tipsy and can be wide on some trail rides. Also not sure if the plastic is like this on all of them but his is a special edition and is real hard and seems like if hit very hard would be broke not just a stretch mark like most quads.

400 for sure!!!! quik little f 'ers, handle great on the trails, 5-speed, so many mods out there. dont get me wrong the 700 is a great machine , i wish i had 1 in the garage for the wife or when i want to do some trail riding the easy way(automatic). they have great power and handle really good.

the 400 totally!! They are fast, nimble, and light. The 700 is good on power but they are big and heavy and the automatic takes away from its sportyness. And just in case you are not a die hard kawi fan, The suzuki 400 and the kfx400 and the artic cat 400 all have the same suzuki 400 engine so you may want to shop around for a good deal.

I own Both.

What are you looking for?
How big or small of a person are you?
What kind of riding do you do?

It looks like you already have a V, why are you considering a change?
What don't you like about the V and what would you be looking for in the 400?

i have problems with the V. I want more of a sporty ride (not auto). I am only 5'11 140lbs. The only thing sketching my out about going to the 400 is the chain drive some of the trails here get rocky but other then that i just think the 400 would be better for me.

If you ever plan on being serious about drag racind, keep the 700, if it is not that big a deal, go for the 400.
My 2 sense
