Why do the atv mags. not come up with some type of test procedure to use concerning peformance and specs? Every article is always different. Sometimes than run them slightly uphill for 800 feet, sometimes on pavement. Seems like 0 to 10 mph, 0 to 20 mph, 0 to 30 mph etc. Dyno test wouldbe nice also, or manufacture hp and torque specs. 4 foot jumps, 2 foot woops 4 foot apart at various speeds could be handy. Seems like they could get together and come up with something. After reading the articles i usually figure out more about the machines from these forums than the 4 dollar mags. I forgot about a mud test but i am sure they could figure it out.

What is really irritating is when the SAME mag keeps using different standards for testing. Like you said, one time it is uphill, another is down, etc.
I suppose they do the best they can depending on the terrain in the area they do the test.
