The only mag that I've seen do a full drag test of all of the 650 - 700cc class machines, the 650 outlander was the fastest. The BF 650 was the fastest 0-20mph but after that the outlander pulled ahead. I believe the KQ was third then the Grizz then the AC's and the Pol was last.

I think the official hp number for the BRP 650 is 51 or 52, they were going to make sure they had the most powerful ATV in the class right from the start. However, it's pretty clear that Can-Am and Kawa have the most powerful engines in their classes.

 

bomb dus not make a 750 it,s an 800,as for the 650 outy beating the 650i who knows. the 650i has 9.1 compresion a lighter fly wheel and allso runs the 750 carbs and has a wild stock cdi would b a great race .as for the 750 and the bomb 800 the 800 stock for stock is .09 faster in 300 feet and.14 faster in 500 feet .so what i,m saying with just the dynatec you can win some and loose some against the big boy have bin there dun that but the 800 is a monster but then again so,s the brute,,,the brute costs about 3000 less here than the 800 .the dealer here wants 13.999.00 befour tax the brute 10.400.00 befour tax ........one more thing the popo 760 is not even in the ball bark it,s to darn heavy

 

Im just saying i read it somewhere, i know it doesnt have brute on top end but i think they are pretty close up to that. Im not trying to start anything that is what i just heard.

Do the Bombs come detuned from factory like the Kawies?

I can not see the Bomb 650 beating the BF650i. Those guys would be bragging all over the place and I haven't really heard anything. Have yall? Does any one actually have the Bomb 650? lol

I read that article balgonieman, there was some shady stuff in there. I don't know if it is a credable source, as with most articels.

 

We probably have'nt heard too much yet because the BRP 650 was only just released. There are tons of 400's and 800's around here but I have yet to see a 650, the dealers here don't even have any yet.

I would still bet with everything being equal (reaction time and driver) the Outlander would be the quicker bike. But whatever the BF 650 is still a blast, my best friend has one and it has all the power you would ever really need, winning a drag race is for bragging rights only.

 

If the Bomb 650 was just released it probably will beat the BF650i, Bomb isn't going to realease a slower quad then what Kawie already has out. LOL!

 

Ohhh yeaa, the bombs come from the factory detuned, my friend came back from chapman performance here in n.c and the numbers they were getting from the bomb is crazy..............
And yea, i think the bomb 650 can take the bf 650. I know the 700 praire team green took my friends bf650 over and over again. the 650 has got the moose module also. 700 praire stock less than 5 hrs on speedo.......Those ROTAX motors is tough!

 

realy ive raced lots of them .and 5 hours on the 700 is nuthing it takes a bout 80 hours till there broke in, ROTEX remember them .so there so freakin good i here harley is going ROTEX mazda did remember in there r x 7

 

I have new bf650i and raced the 800 bomb across a bean field close to 200 yards. New to riding and was a nervous to look over but I knew it was not in front of me. The new bf650i is said to beat the bf 750i and I believe it. Rember this is the bf650i not the bf650sra. Also the 650i is easier to handle than its bigger brother. If you really want to race the 650 bomb against the bf 650i , I really doubt that the 650 bomb is going to beat it. Have fun trying though.
