hello all
yesterday i got this bike on a trade..actually traded 1 sport bike for 1 sport utility and one utility 4 wheeler ... the 300 is in good shape not great but good.. i was lookin at the oil glass checking the oil and noticed i didnt see much oil ... now this bike since i got it had been run for about 5 min tops.. and i checked the oil after 5 min of putting around the yard.. i thought i better check the oil..well put about 1/2 a qt in it to get it up to 1/2 way up between the lines.. but my real ? is i started it and didnt really notice alot of oil movement if any at all.. i know on my ktm u see the oil moving good threw the glass... maybe im bein paranoid? how can i check if im gettin enough or any at all oil pressure? imma gonna need the this bike soon...hunting around the corner [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] thanks for any replys

I had a 1993 Bayou 300 4x4 and the oil level done the same thing that givey's does. the level just dropped to nothing while it was running. There is a pressure check bolt on the back of the head that you can loosen and check the pressure. just locate it and losen it. Start the engine, and if you don't see oil seeping out arround the bolt within 1 minute of running, you have no oil pressure. If there is no oil seeping out, DON'T RUN IT ANYMORE AND GET IT TO A SHOP ASAP!!!
