Default Amsoil Diff. Oil

Just wondering if you all who are using Amsoil in your diff. are using the same stuff in the front and rear. It says in manual the rear has to have some special kind of oil since it has a wet brake. Says to just use regular 10-W40 in front though. Found a distributor close by and I was wanting to change all my fluids out but I wasnt't sure about the rear. Thanks

Yes, the rear gear box requires wet brake oil, just like those John Deer farm tractors use.

Amsoil does make an oil that is within the specs. i believe it is a tractor hydraulic oil. in a tractor, the rear end/ transmission/ hydraulic oil is all the same, and since the tractors all have internal wet brakes that is the stuff. there should be some guys with the right part number chime in...
