I want to get my intake higher for mud and water riding, but here in MN it is not legal to ride the trails with any snorkel. Is there a good way to rasie the intake hose and not have the machine look any different? Also, will it run leaner?

Not sure, It's a new rule for this year. I'm sure they think if you have a snorkel, you are riding water and that is a touchy subject in this state. You can't dig a pond or fill in a pond even if it's on your own property. The watershed district and the like cause alot of trouble here.

We take up the slack down here in Mississippi--we tear up all we can! LOL Hey man my Mom is a realtor-want her to find you a place here so u can ride freely?LOL

Really though-I would like to hear the answer to this too. I need something to stop the water from coming in the airbox and I am too hardheaded to put a snorkel on it for the light mudriding my group does.
I am working on it--let u know if I figure something out.

Roofer,

you're busted.

Seriously though, if I knew more about the new Kawi's I would give you some advice, but could lose my position in doing so.

As far as the legality here in MN, there has been an abundance of complaints by the non-riding public about damage to our state forests and tearing up mud bogs, lakes, streams, etc. So legislation has been passed to make riding in wetlands illegal.

This does cause a lot of erosion, damage to critical species, siltation, and other hazards or damage depending on location. About the only legal area in MN to use a snorkel device is at the Gilbert riding area.

LOL.....

That's right there is an exception in the rules and it is for the Gilbert riding park.

It did get passed last year that you can cross water or low areas to access parts of your own private property or for hunting purposes.

That sucks having somebody tell you what you can and cant ride your ATV through. I guess that is one of the best things about wyoming, you can do what every you want, and even if there was something to do wrong, there isnt anybody around to see you do it...
