i wouldn't have known about the clutch cover recall on my '06 kfx400 if it wasn't for this forum. i brought in my VIN to the service department to inquire if it needed a recall procedure done. and yup, the clutch cover hasn't been changed. so i scheduled it for next week together with my first 10 hour valve adjustment. kawsakaki never sent me any mail on the recall and i have had my bike for about 2 months already.

Hayashi,
Is there a way for us to look up TSB's and see if there is anything offered on our machines? Shy of asking the dealer of course.
Thanks for your help, you have always come through for me. It has always been obvious you really know your Kawasaki's and I really appreciate it.

Thanks for your encouraging words, Mud.
Way to find about TSBs...
Your dealer service manager should be your best friend... but that's not the case always, even not for me. I just don't feel easy with them. Another good source (even better) is Kawi's Customer Service. But before calling them, have your quad's model name, year and VIN ready. They will be able to tell you all the TSB's and Recalls, etc that you want to know on your Kawi. By the way, be polite and keep cool with Kawi Customer Service folks even if your blood is boiling (because your toy is broken toy). What I found out is that they write down everything you say and they keep it in form of electronic file. When you call them next time, they know exactly what kind of words and even the "tone" of voice you used. Depending on how you treat them, they can be either your best friend or worst enemy. You choose. Just remember, you need them more than they need you.
OK, let's go ride now. Or, at least, let's think about it!
