i have a Dynatek cdi on my brute 750 and it runs great. no miss or hicup. i got the dyna because the vdi is really too expensive if your not gonna take advantage of the programmability. my stock cdi was toast so i was not gonna pay $400 for a VDI or $400 for a stock replacement. the Dyna was the best option for me at $190. besides the brute is pretty much uncontrollable as it is!!

Kinda makes you wonder how often these internet forums and message boards are used by one company to promote their own product and sway potential customers away from their competitor's product.

Alltoys and others, please don't take offense to that, as I am not trying to insinuate anything towards you here! It does seem that almost everyone is very happy with their VDI Copperheads, and there are a LOT of people that claim to have had problems with the Dyna on their Brutes.

farginnicehole,
Not a problem I still use Dyna cdi's and VDI. Some people who use Dyna on their BFs have problems and some don't pretty much a flip of the coin. Earlier BFs had problems from factory with carb needles since then it has been rectified.

Although crank trigger on the BFs are slightly different than the Prairies, ( VFs ), not all machines are tuned the same from factory. If you have a BF that will run on a Dyna then use it if it doesn't then VDI is another option.

Glad I didn't step on your feet, Alltoys! My 750 is one of the '05 models that needed the carb needle update per the service bulletin. I've been sitting on a Dynojet kit for longer than I care to admit. . . guess I'm too lazy to MAKE time to try and install it! Mine runs pretty good, but I think some tweaking would still improve it and maybe eliminate some of the backfiring I get when I let off the throttle. Maybe I should give a Dyna a try on mine, as I think I could probably return it if it didn't work (although I always am leery about sellers' claims that they will take an electrical component back and give a refund!). Too many other expenses right now for me to justify around $400 or whatever for a Copperhead!

Fargin,
Personally get rid of that Dynojet Kit sell it someone it is not worth the hasle or better yet the money. Many motor builders will tell you this. Backfireing on decel is lean I believe you may have to check your plugs to make sure. Try putting a washer under your needles see if that works. Getting the carbs on the BF is a pain but worth it in the long run.
