Alright the front stap on my bike broke this weekend. It rolled off of the trailer but the strap on the back held in partialy on the trailer letting the rear wheels roll on the pavement. The bike was in gear. It schredded the belt and wore a hole throught the cover back by the secondary. What all would be hurt and how do I check for these problems/

Whoa! That was quite a thing to have happen. Sorry I really don't know what all may have been damaged but I'm sure some of the more mechanical types here will be able to help you. Glad you didn't loose the bike over a bank or into another car or something.
I'm curious, however about the type of tie-downs you were using and what actually broke. There has been a thread on another forum about tie-downs and the pro's and con's of various methods used to secure the bikes. Did you have it tied to the racks or below the suspension to the axel's? Maybe some info would prevent this from happening to someone else. From the "lost bike" post's I have seen it appears the vast majority of them have been hooked with the ratchet or gripper type straps about an inch or so wide and tied off to the racks.
Sure glad the damage was not more severe and that no one was hurt.

The stap was hooked the front bumper and the strap broke in the stap materical must have been a defect.
The swingarm is in my pics. That came from using a vforce for motocross. landed a double and the swingarm snapped. the swingarm on it now is gusseted with 1/4in alumanum plate. and has no open holes. and the arms are gusseted with triangles.
