kfx 700 reverse on engaging

kfx 700 reverse is not engaging. actually it is hitting against the reverse lock piece. any suggestions

kfx 700 reverse on engaging

You may have a broken detent (plastic) on your left hand rotating shift control. Remove the black rubber control from the handlebar and check it out.
