Default New Viper 3000lb Winch w/synthetic Rope

I just purchased a new 3000lb Viper winch off of Ebay for $203 delivered. It came with synthetic rope already installed, and a model specific winch mount and all the wires, switches, etc... Here's what I plan to do. I know a lot of guys who are thirsty for info on these "cheaper" winches. I have heard good and bad, but mostly good. I plan to create a review for this winch and keep everyone posted on it's performance, reliability, and any problems I have. Right now it is in the box in my garage. Well, not really. I tore into it like a little kid at Xmas, so it is not all in the box. :&gt Stay tuned. I will post how the install goes, my opinion on the quality of the parts, and the fitment. Ease of install etc.. Then, most importantly, how it works and how long it lasts! For your future viewing pleasure, I will use VIPER WINCH REVIEW (Part 1,2,3 etc...) for the Message Title.

I just bought the Xtreme 2500Lb winch for my Twin Peaks for $128 shipped and should be here tomorrow. I know someone that bought the Xtreme 2500 for his 360 Prairie. I installed it and was a good kit. He used it a couple times and worked great.

I have 2 of the 2500 and both work great. I used one last year in Utah to pull my 660 grizzly throught the snow hooking on trees. They also sent parts out super fast when I pushed the button and it was the wrong way destroyed the free wheel cap and broke the pin. They sent me the parts and it was up and running in no time. I also reworker the connections on the motor the wire harness fittings were crimped and I did not like that but all seem to be working fine 12 months old

The review thing just never happened. I had the winch installed and was ready to go riding before I realized I forgot the pictures. Anyway, I went to The Cliffs Insane Terrain park last Sunday. 75 Degrees in March! It was great, but man it was MUDDY. My brother-in-law and I both got stuck in the mud. My winch worked great. I've used it about half a dozen times now and no problems. I REALLY like the synthetic rope. Easy to work with and light. I just think that the cheaper winches are just as good as the Warns, Ramseys, etc... They seem to work great and it sounds like parts are easy to get, and timely. Can't really think of a reason to spend more on a brand name at this point.
