Default brute force in manual?

does the brute force 650 come in manual transmission? I was thinking of getting this quad, but don't want to deal with any drive belts.

No, they sure dont. But I am another that wishes that they would. I am a hard core manual fan, and I went back and forth with the idea of having a automatic. But in the end, I love my automatic! The brute force has a ton of power, and as long as you dont go for a swim the belt will be fine.

I struggled with the same thing...I really wanted a clutch and shifter...but there are very few machines that offer this anymore. I bit the bullet, jumped on the tech. bandwagon and purchased a BF650, I'll have it next week.

If you have not had a chance to ride a Kawi's CVT driven V-twin quad , give a try and see how you like it first before you give it up. The belt will last a long time if you don't abuse it. Even if it goes bad, it is relatively cheap to replace. The beauty of the Kawi's CVT is its simplicity in design and you are always at the right gear and always at the best torque range of the motor at a given vehicle speed.

Yeah what he said. I love the fact of when I am in a nasty mud hole I dont have to shift. Just push the throttle and let the Vtwin do its thing! Plus the engine brake is awsome on steep down hill slopes, you rarely even need to brake.

well, I wouldn't take a quad in water to much past where you rest your feet because I wouldn't want to do that to my first fourwheeler that costs so much. So, the auto belt should last a long time if I don't submerge it. I might go with the auto with some more convincing from you all. Right now it's between the arctic cat 500 manual & the Brute Force 650. So tell me how you like either

gohip. I just got rid of a 04 400 AC Auto & 05 650 BF .

The ArcticCat had OUTSTANDING ground clearance & width for stability. The 400's are slow. The 500's share the same setup with it being much more powerful. The 650AC runs the 650 Kawi VTwin for the best of both. I was tempted to go ACAT again.

The 650 SRA Brute was quick as anything & was nimble. (I think it was as fast or faster than my 750.)Ground clearance was minimal.

Check it out .
