Default Mojave timing chain

Hi, this might be a stupid question, but I don't have my manual handy and I couldn't find this in a search- Can I replace my timing chain without splitting the cases? I have been dreading this project but I just saw a photo on ebay with the ignition cover removed, and I saw the chain bunched up in the bottom end. I thought the crank would protrude through a hole in the case and the chain would be unaccessible without splitting the cases. If I don't have to split the cases, I'll be a happy man!

Thanks!
Ben

No you don't have to. You must remove your flywheel and counterbalencer (I believe that's what it is). Then you will have enough room to do the job.

Great, thank you so much for the information. I'm going to get it put together for my girlfriend as an x-mas present. Hope she likes it!

Thanks!
Ben
