You should always inspect the CVT system and take necessary action (adjust/replace/luburicate) when the belt light is either steady ON or flashing, instead of just resetting it.
How reliable is the belt light itself?
Very reliable - it comes on every 100 hrs of actual running time. The dash meter hour-clock is not, because it counts the igniton on time whether the engine is running or not.</end quote></div>
HI Hayashi....I was just searching the site because my 100 hour light for belt chech has not come on at the 105 hour mark. In the above quote by you , it seems that you state that the dash meter clock and the engine clock are different?
Is this correct? Is there any way to know what the actual engine hours are? What does the dash meter actually read then....? Is it that the key is in and turned on but the engine isn't running and it will still count hours? I'm 5 hours over the 100 hrs and I can't for the life of me think of how I'd leave the key turned on and not the motor running for 5 hours in this past year or so?
