Which one is faster, or which one would you guys say is better overall. I got a prairie and love it but my dad has a brute but seems faster. More or less which ATV is faster stock , Cuz i will not trade the prairie for the brute, cause the praire has alot more a the ability to whip it around while the independant rear susp. on the brute limits you, but please let me know thanx.

Default Prairie 700 or BF 570

I had a kawie 700 prairie and now I have a kawie 750 bf. I love both quads and the 700 prairie is one of the best all around utility sport 4x4 quads ever made. I loved the ability to ride it real hard and swing the rear end around without any problems. I actually sold it b/c I wanted the IRS for ground clearance due to the fact that my deer lease is loaded with muddy ruts and some are deep enough that the 700 was hanging up on the SRA. And that was with 26" ITP 589's. As far as comparison, here is my take since I have had both.

Assuming both are stock from the factory:

Power: The bf750 is running about 51-52hp while the 700 prairie is running about 48-49hp.
Stability: prairie700
Mudding: bf750
Ground clearance: bf750
Ride comfort: I would actually say a tie. The prairie rides very well for a SRA
Quickness: slight edge to bf750
Top speed: bf750 (my prairie topped out at 68mph by GPS and my bf750 toped out at 71mph by GPS.

Personally, I wished I would have kept my 700 prairie, but still purchased the bf750. IMO, never get rid of the 700prairie b/c they don't make them anymore since the bf650 SRA is basically a prairie650.

On straight line drag racing, 750 will win without a doubt.
On twisty trail riding, most likely 700 will win due to its SRA and lower CG - giving you lots more confidence on the machine.

I'd go with the 700 since yer just talkin about those two quads. But you should look at the 650i. Its cheaper and will beat the 750 hands down. Now you can do some mods on the 750 and it'll open up big time but right out of the crate the 650i is awesome. The 650i is actually longer and wider than the 750 for some reason.

The bf650i is a great quad and for the price, it might be a better buy than the bf750i. However, the bf650i doesn't beat the bf750i hands down or anything down. They are pretty close in take off and almost close in top speed. But the bf750i gets there faster. Sorry, done the drag rases several times and that is the way it is. That doesn't mean the 650i is anything less of a power monster. It is just the 750i has a little more power and more torque. You can hop up the 650i to make it run faster than a stock 750i, but the 750i can be hopped up much more than the 650i. But, the real question is, is the 650i worth the savings over the 750i? I have a 750i and it doesn't way more than I could ever need, but I would say with the 650i you get slightly more for the money. Apparently kawie changed the geometry of the 650i and the newer 750i to help with the bump steer and stability.

Between the prairie700 and bf750i or bf650i, it really comes down to SRA or IRS and your type riding should dictate what you get.

I have a 2004 Prairie 700 and I've also driven a BF750. Personally I like the handling and stabillity of the 700 Prairie over the BF750. At the same time I also love the motor on the BF750. Now if Kawasaki were to put the BF750 motor on a 700 Prairie body then that would be the ultimate Quad IMO.

If all you want to do is race in a straight line then the BF will win. If you want to do some hard mountain trails and mud holes the Prairie will do that with ease. I don't think top end speed is as important as low end grunt and handling. When riding trails if you go fast for any length of time you will kill yourself and I mean that quite literally.
Speed is not as important as torque.

I love my Prairie but realistically if I were going to get another Quad I would probably get an Eiger 400. For the type of riding that I do it is more than adequate. The bottom line is what do you want to do with your Quad? What kind of riding do you do. You need to base your decision on those factors. Hey, I love power just as much as the next guy but you have to remember that one way or another you will have to pay for those extra ponys!

I've had both-an 04 P700 and now a 06 BF750. As others have said, it's all what your buying it for. I could go on for a while, but my bottom line is if you want more of a sporty feel, fast trail riding, little/no heavy hauling then I would take the P700. If you plan on more rough trails, lots of ruts and mud, or lots of work/hauling go with the BF.

No doubt the P700 was fast and handled awesome. For me the P700 was not up to the task of a heavy plow in front and the single shock swingarm doesn't work well with with trailers or a rear rack liquid tank in my opinion. I would love to have one of each, but for a mix of work and fun I wouldn't trade my BF. Either way, you'll love whichever you buy!
