Hey Ya'll,
So, I'm a 22 year old female and I just bought my first atv. I bought the Kawasaki 650 Brute Force in team green! Yeah, I'm excited! Now here's the thing, my boyfriend has an 02 650 Prairie. He wouldn't let me get the 750 Brute Force (I think he's just scared that I'd REALLY kick his *** racing then). Anyways, I was wondering if someone could maybe clue me in on how I could get the sexy Brute of mine to run faster? He has a clutch kit in his, but I'm not sure if I could convince him to put one in mine. Also, if you have any extra pointers for me let me know. THANKS!

My wife can smoke me with her Prairie. (when I'm on my little brother's BF 750) She's about 75lbs lighter than me and the two bikes are pretty close in a drag. The brute force does have a bit more top speed but it just takes some time to catch up with the prairie. I'd advise getting a dynatek CDI box and a slip on exhaust (with proper jetting of course) You may be able to beat your bf right now...... give it a try. Here's a tip: hold the foot brake and stall the engine to the point just before the bike starts to move. Make sure your leaning over the bars and then wax him. Be sure that you are in 4wd when you drag race.

Let us know if you can beat him.

Good luck, any proud respectable, a fearful fellow would never swallow pride and build up his sweety's ride...its cool to see a chick on a hot ride, but not if its your hot chick and shes blowing by your ride...LOL

Best wishes anyways'

PS> Buying my 650i next weekend' - Black??

Wellllll, since you ask for any other pointers.

Seems to me you should tell that "boyfriend" to butt out and then go ahead and do, or have done, whatever you want to YOUR quad. If he is so scared you might beat him at something that "He wouldn't let me get the 750" then he needs, IMO, an attitude adjustment. Be glad you found out before you got married.

And yes I am married. Be 45 very happy years this fall. My wife can do lots of things way better than me and it just makes me proud of her. I have never and would never tell her she can't do something she wants to have a go at.

Remember, you ask.

Thanks for the help! I have tried racing him and I can beat him but he beats me off the start. He makes it a point that I know that he beats me off the start but he's also the one that says ready set go...So I think he has an advantage. I'll try your technique and maybe I can kick his butt eventually! I'll keep you updated.

Jamakn, I think the 650i in black would be an excellent buy since of course the independent doesn't come in team green of course haha....oh and thanks for letting me know why my bf won't work on my four-wheeler......but I can already beat him, just not off the starting line. I'm gonna work on that though! Enjoy the new ride!

My boyfriend has me in check huh? That's pretty funny.....anyways, I think I'd rather take advice from someone who know what it means to be committed than someone who obviously has the wrong idea about relationships in the first place. I am not a "thing" that you can put in check. I do what I want, when I want. Yes, I have respect for him and I don't go out and hit on other men, but I wear what I want, I ride when I want, and I know other people who can tweek my four-wheeler for me. You may wanna rethink your statement about me being "in check" because as far as I'm concerned YOU don't have a clue about relationships and how to treat a girl. Have a great day!
