BF 650 or Polaris 500 EFI
Hi!
I can buy a Brute Force 650 with a wagon /cart for hauling wood for the same price as a Polaris sportsman 500 efi with winch.
Which would you buy? I will need a wagon / cart and winch anyway! Because I am gonna use this machine for hauling and winching trees / firewood! The same price for both!

I'm gonna say, go with the Kawi. There are a ton of mods for the machine when you're done with the firewood and want to play and It has more power than the polaris that might come in handy with a full load of wood on the trailer that you're getting with it. I also think the Kawi looks better than the polaris.
The irs will sag when pulling a trailer but you can crank up the pre-load on the springs to lessen it when the trailer is loaded. Then you have the nice ride and ground clearance of an irs when you're not working.
The new polaris machines have got a plastic cage in the front diff now so I'm waiting to see how that holds up. Polaris machines seem to have a few of the things that I wish my Kawi had though.
1. The Kawi has no storage at all unless you get a box to strap on the rack. The polaris has the handy compartments you can open up and put a few things in.
2. The Polaris has a park position for the transmission which would be nice rather than having to lock up the parking brake and have it freeze on you, this has happened to me.
3. Lock and load system. That would be nice considering I have a variety of uses for my machine and hate fighting with u-bolts and things.
just my $.02

all bikes are good. the kawi and the sportman are both equal competitors in your case. sure the kawi has more power but so does a grizz, rincon, etc. you are hauling fire wood out of the bush correct? if you are also the type of guy who thinks he owns a racing 600+lb 4x4 then go with the kawi simply cause it has more power. other than that the sp has better stock features as mentioned before such as a intergrated front storage compartment. think about that it really is an awesome thing! to get the kawi to do the same u have to put a storage box on it. with the sp u can also get a storage box to carry a saw and some gas and such but the polaris u can use the front comp for additional more delicate items such as lunch, beer, gloves etc that wont get in the way of chainsaws and oil. the polaris is also a more heavy machin meaning u can tow more with it with out it being thrown around also more traction.
