Default Smoking. Bad Rings

I have an 87 Mojave 110e. It smokes really bad, but it runs great. I want to change the rings. Do I have to have the cylinder bored and replace the piston and rings oversize? Can I just hone the cylinder and replace the rings?

Thanks

It all depends how much damage is done on the cylinder walls.
Open up the jug and inspect it or take the cylinder to a machine shop if they can hone it and see if bigger size rings can be installed.
