Anyone ever fix a kick starter that just spins without engaging the engine? My '85 Tecate trike just started doing this. Sometimes it catches, sometimes it just ratchets up and down. The arm's not slipping on the shaft, there's a ratcheting noise so it's an internal problem. Please tell me it's an easy fix, OK?

Scott, that's what I wanted to hear, thanks.
After the X-mas I just had santa is kinda
low on dough if you know what I mean. My
rear brake isn't working either. My local
Kawasaki dealer said to bring in the
offending broken bits and he will lighten
my wallet. That thing really rips though,
the power delivery is severe.

atv_guy I FEEL YOUR PAIN!
I've went thru 3 of them dang buggers. The trick is, when installing them, turn the gear as far as it will go clockwise, then install your spring. It took me blowing out 2 of them before I learned the trick
