Default kawasaki brute force carb.

I have a 2005 750 brute force. I am living in OK , but I plan on going to CO and WY dureing Elk season. Does anyone know if I need to re-jet for the altitude. One dealer said yes and one said know. The dealer that said no said I would loose up to 50% of my power so it would be like riding a 325 instead of a 750. Any advice??

I also have a 05 Brute, and I've had mine to over 13,000 ft elevation in CO without having to rejet. Granted, it didn't run perfectly, but it didn't do too bad all considered. I was pleasantly surprised. No way I wanted to spend hours rejetting those hard to reach dual carbs anyway! You will lose a bit of power, but I don't think you'll have any problem. Here's one tip that worked for me....partially unlatch the airbox cover at high altitude in order to allow more airflow to the motor, (or take off the airbox lid, if you can stand the intake drone!) and make sure your air filter is very clean so as not to create any more restriction than necessary. You should be fine. By the way, the Brute is a great machine, just about anywhere!
