just bought a 91 bayou 220 for next to nothing off of my buddies boy. price is perfect but she won't start. I know the electric start switch is not working. but jumping acrosss the solenoid will turn her over but no fire. took out the plug and held it to the jug of the motor and got no spark. i'm pretty new to the whole atv world and just wondering if anyone has had this same issue and can point me in the right direction. it ran fine when it was parked and elect.start was already bad.

Does it start with a pull start?

 

nope, nothing with the pull start. i've been told "coil" by several, but i was hoping someone had run into this same problem before. you know oem electronics, you buy 'em you keep 'em.
