Dad has a 02 Bayou 300 4x4. It is a great quad and he loves it but it is a bear to maneuver being full time 4 wheel drive. Has anyone used a front end disconnect unit and how do you like it? Is Warn the only one that makes them? Were did you buy it and how much was it? Any info is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I rode a P300 with one and it was excellent. I hounded Warn to make one for the P400, but they say the shaft is too big to fit a disconnecter. Its all mechanical, so nothing to break and I havent heard of anyone breaking one. Finally fishtailing a full time 4x4 is nice. The Warn is probably worth every penny, and I haven't seen another company make one.

 

I have heard of a lot of people with them and everything I have heard about them is great and if I needed one I would buy the warn 424

 

I know this is an old thread but i have a Bayou 300 4x4 and like this product does this product fit the bayou or just the prairie?
