Default 08 Brute kicks but

Went out riding today with friend who just bought used 05 800 polaris and the 08 brute ate it up.No comparison performance wise between the two and now he wants to trade it in on new brute.

Yeah the kawi got a little more power but put them in the mud and watch the 800 win. The 800 to me has better features like a better ride, more storage, better 4wd, more ground clearance (11.25" vs. 9.7" on the brute) etc etc. But if your friend is wanting more power then maybe he should look at the brute or maybe the AC thundercat.

What do you mean a dog in the mud? The 800 will turn bigger tires better then the brute because of the gearing. Slap some 29.5's on a stock 800 and a stock 750 brute and see which one turns them better. Name 4 or 5 things the brute has thats better than the 800?

I go through this delima everytime I go riding with my brother who has an '05 750 Bruteforce. I have an '06 700 Polaris.

The power of the bruteforce is awesome. The CVT transmission works better stock as well.

However, everything else is better about the Polaris. We have both made the comment on numerous occasions that if you could fit the bruteforce motor/trans down in the Polaris chassis, you would really have an awesome 4-wheeler. That idea really makes me want to go ride an outlander 800 and a thundercat to see if they have any better chassis than that ill handling bruteforce.

ATV Magazine did just that last month. They saw the PooPoo for what it is a slow, heavy, clanky noisy American made heap. Read the article for yourself. The voted the 08 Brute best of the big bores and no power was not the issue. They placed the 950 Cat last.
