Default Draining Carburetors

I have had different opinions about draing my carburetors. Some people say I should drain them when done riding and that I shouldn't use Stabile because of the ethanol in the gas. Others say that if I drain them, o rings and seals will dry out if I drain them and that I should use Stabile in the gas. Or the marine gas additive Star Bright. What's the proper method ? THANKS!!!!!!!

Default Draining Carburetors

How long between rides?
For me it may be 3 months between rides. I do nothing. Never had any problems.
I have equipment that sits for a year and works for 1 week. I do nothing to it. Never had any problems.

I use to use Stabil. I did not use it one year and it never made a difference so I never went back to the stuff. I have a lot of engines around my place. I just don't wory about it anymore.

your o-rings wont be effected by draining the carburetors, I would recomend this if you are storing for an extended period of time, stabil is good, don't know where drturbo lives, but in central texas our fuel does not contain ethenol as far as I know, but the fuel will go stale in 4 to 6 weeks if left sitting, I recomend to start it up (or at least try) after draining to clear any remaining fuel in the jets and choke passage
