220 sec. clutch slipping?.

ive fixed the wireing problems from the last post anyway its running good down low and pulls firm but when i get it cruiseing good in high gear and than nail it the motor wants to free spin is this normal??? and am i correct in saying there is two seperate cluthes a primary and sec. thanks Jim

Yes, there's a primary (centrifugal) and a secondary (disk) clutch.

Sounds like your secondary is slipping--adjust the engagement (if it slips after warmup); if that doesn't fix it, you may need new fiber disks and/or clutch springs (you may be able to shim up the latter).

If your primary clutch is slipping, you may need new shoes.
