If the clamp tore up the boot, sure the warranty should cover it. Tell your dealer and see what they say before you take it there. This is a good opportunity for you to find our whether your dealer is on your side or not.

Call them first or call another dealer first. If it's not covered because the boots torn, put a new boot on it, drive it to "dirty it up" and then take it back later with the noisy joint for warranty.

Not the best or most honest thing to do, but save ya some coin. And yes, it should be covered and long as it not abuse or neglect, but like the last post says, the dealer is either with ya or against ya.

That's a dealer I'd stick with.

The OP says the clamp damaged the boot itself. If that's true, that IS a defect and should be covered under wty. This is not just a matter of money issue.

how could a clamp be defected...... they bend very easily which can lead you to believe its defected. just slap a boot on an go. also, buy a couple of extras because it is going to happen many more times. my dealers said that those parts are not warrantied because they rip and bend due to the rider on where you go.
