220 front shocks
#1
I need new shocks for my 220, the one's that are on it are totally shot, will a pair of stock 300ex shocks fit without much change in ride because I can get a set of new 300ex shocks pretty cheap so if they'll work it would be alot better than buyin $400+ worth of shocks for them to wear out in another year or 2.

hey 4wheelr220,
I used to own a bayou before trading it on my Boss. I loved it but needed more CC's
anyway, i looked into modding it extensively. as for weather or not the 300 EX shox will fit it, i don't know, but i wouldn't recemend it, they are much longer then the bayous, and because of the single a arm suspension, you can't add much moe travel. Works performance makes some after-market ones for it, but i'll tell ya, they aren't cheap. Good luck whatever you choose.

On my Bayou I bought some Suzuki Quad Runner 230 front shocks which do fit in the bayou. The new springs have a preload and I also reversed the front tires to get a little more wider stance in the front. If you can find some at a avt savage yard, I think you'll be impressed, I am.

The reason I went through the shocks fast was because I jumped it a lil bit when I first got it, and I drove it alot this winter with the plow on. I think i might get a set of 300 shocks for it if I can find a pair, thanks.

I jumped the livin crap out of mine, and it was a 97! in the end, its sus didn't even fade! traded it this year for 1800, i think yours is a little messed up. although i can't think of what would cause that!
