I'd like some input from some other 4x4 guys about which tire I should get, 26" Vampires or 26" Outlaws? I wanted to use my stock Prairie wheels but can't with the Outlaws. This would force me to spend an extra $200 on wheels. Are the Outlaws that much better than the Vampires?

Forget those choices. Get the Titan 589's. They will cover everything you need and then some!

I have heard many peopl on this forum that agree with GrizRick. The Titan 589's are a great all around tire.

I have 2 buddies that I ride with, one has a Griz and the other a SP500. They watched me for 2 years with my 27" Vamps before they decided to buy some. They both bought 26" Vamps and are thrilled with their tires. They didn't have to change wheels which saved them lots of money. Neither one of them ever complained about tire weight either. We ride through lots of different terrain, as you can see from my pics.
We had a third guy that rides with us, an older guy in his late 60's and he kept laughing at us for having these aggressive tires until this past hunting season. Thats when he got stuck 6 times, and none of us with the Vamps came even close to getting stuck. This year he is also getting the 26" Vamps for his Griz. They have proven themselves for being a very durable aggressive tire, that works well on all the terrains that we ride on. They also do well for snow plowing which was very surprising. Very Very happy with the Vamps.
We all have the 12" in the rear and the 9.5" in the front.

About those 589s, I have to ride in some very serious gumbo. Do you think they would do well in those situations? I'm not worried about the all-around ride, this is my hunting wheeler.

Vampires are outstanding in the worse mud/snow conditions around,so are Mudrunners,Vampires,Outlaws,589s,and now,the Gator and Dirt Devil XT,are all pretty equal in the mucky stuff.

Rocky Mountain [1800-336-5437] will send you a free catalog, look on page 74 at the Gator and Dirt Devil XT tires, they are as good as any mud tire at a fraction of the cost.Cost for 26 inch Gators or Dirt Devil XT will cost around 55-60 dollars each, thats ALOT less $$ than any of the rest of these tires and they will give you the same amount of traction as any mud tire around,
