Not needed, but if you can afford them the Hypers are the way to go. Hint, spend a little more and get the dual beadlock rears. Super easy to change out tires, very strong, and you can replace the beadlock rings, making the wheels look almost as good as new again.
Another hint, if you go aluminum, don't skimp. Get the .190s with the fully rolled rims or better yet the baja style with the reinforcing rings. I bought some plain jane
ITP t-9's without the rolled lip and destroyed them in one weekend of riding... The stock Yammie rolled lips held up much better.

Any links to exactly what you suggest I should purchase?

HiPer Go for the Tech 3's!
ITP T9 Pro series GP at a minimum.
DWT I'd probably stick with the ultimate sc at a minimum.
Just my opinion though. I tend to be rough on wheels and there are always big rocks to hit here in Western NY. If you are just dune riding or don't ever hit trees/rocks etc you can probably get by with the lesser wheels. The HiPers are mucho spendy, I managed to find a smokin' deal on ebay of all places though.

For what you are doing, stock size wheels should be perfect. You probably have 9" rears and 10" fronts. When ordering new wheels, it is common to get a different offset,
usually making the quad wider/more stable. Changing width is up to you though.
