Default kfx700 in need of help, too slow

first im new,and the site is great...i just got a lightly used 06 700 kfx,and i went riding w/ my buddies and i found out,she isnt fast. it kept up w/ a stout 250 quad racer, and a built banshee beat me,but not real bad,imho... i know its hard to compete w/ a banshee,vs stock 700,BUT i need to blow away the quadracer..BAD! what should i get? im thinking..
1. prim spring,orange/blue..
2.pipes..but is it worth getting fulls or is a slip ok?..
3.jetting of course...
4.keyway??? is it worth it? trouble of install and
5.a dynatek cdi...is that a good inverstment, and can it be ran w/ a keyway, and if so what degree should i get?????.
6..airbox mod..+ fresh air hoses
and learning how to launch it w/o flipping the dumb thing, lol. is this a good combo? am i missing anything,or ??
*any other cdi brands better?
*what about the slipon vs full system??
*i went to 700v.com for ideas, but i need your opinions too
*i have about 700? bucks to spend on the quad.
****thanks for any ideas or help..im an old guy,46,trying to keep up w/ dudes 1/2 my age,lol...help

gee..really? lets say i know how to ride,to rule out the wisecracks.im mainly intersted in power adders, and what combo works.not insults, and i was trying to be funny, being this is a difficult to launch bikefor most riders.in the tight woods i was on all of the riders bumpers,no problems, but in the straights from the dig,she is slow, imho. i own fast cars, and road bikes, and i should know, when i ride a pig. im on the fence to sell it and buy a raptor 700 anyway, please help me keep this kfx,i really like the cvt in the trails!..

they say that dual would be the best exhaust if you have that kind of budget they also sound really good. espacially the hmf or yoshi pipes. go with the full. the cdi boxes are a big investment but you will see power gains. happy trails

$700 could get you a new exhaust, clutch kit, degree key and jets to go with the 12-hole mod. It would feel like a whole new machine.

i have no experience with the 700.
typically
jets and air filters are the biggest bang for the buck
then exhaust

1) Don't run a CDI and the Degree Key. That is too much timing advance especialy for a stock internal motor. The V doesn't benefit from a CDI as much as a Brute does. The Kawie Utility quads have the timing more retarded from the factory, so the gains they get from a Rev Box or CDI is more noticable.

2) Don't spend your money on a Slip-On exhaust. You won't notice that much of a gain if any. It will be louder but it isn't going to produce much in the way of actual performance. As stated, the duals sound cool, but for a stock internal motor the Muzzy 2 into 1 is about as good as it gets performance wise.

3) The Orange/Blue is too much spring for your setup. The Dalton Blue will work better for you.

ok,i just ordered a red spring, and im thinking exhaust. what about gutting the original muffler? im not trying to be a redneck, but i have plenty of time, and i like the stock look, lol. would exhaust mod,or slip-on hmf+jetting+[degree key OR cdi box?] be the best way to go? help me keep up w/ the 2 strokes!

well i myself have kawie 700 and i have dmc alien dual exhaust(very loud) custom airbox, k&n air filter, orange blue spring(really helps you on the launch on a race due to stall!!!), jetted!!!! its always good if you can afford a dual exhaust, slip on will never give you the same power specially not the STOCK EXHAUST!!!!since you have already bought the red spring you should by the K&N but you have along way to go to beat a banshee my friend lol i mysle f am going to get a rev box!!!!!
