Red face Brute Force or Polaris Sportsman??

Well as you can tell from the title, I'm trying to decide which to buy USED. I see deals on Sportsmans and Brute Forces from 2005 to current in my area (Richmond, VA) around $4500 regularly. Why should I choose Kawasaki over Polaris?

I've asked the same question on the Polaris page to hear from both perspectives.

Thanks,
Kevin

i own 3 brute 750's, 2 efi and 1 carbed.if it is ride you are looking for and only ride then go popo. if it is reliability, power, and just a good all around atv get the brute. i also have a can am 650 and paid alot more for it then the brute's, but my brute's are definitly still at par with can am. so bigger bang for your buck with the brute IMO..

It's like asking Chevy or Ford?

All brands make some good ones and not so good ones.
The important factor for (any) machine's reliability is how you ride and how you take care of it.

A Sportsman 800 and Brute Force 750 are pretty even in power from what I've read. I think the Brute looks better than the Sportsman. Similar ground clearance numbers. Sportsman has an automatic front locker that is seamless in operation. Brute Force makes you pull in and hold a lever to lock the front end. 05 an up Sportsman has the best on board storage of anybody out there. Sportsman has the nicest ride in my mind. I looked at both and liked them both alot when I got the X2. But, the wife doesn't want to be the driver so I ended up with the 2 seater. I still probably would have gone with the Sportsman just for the storage under the front rack. It's impressive what you can carry. Like the BF though. Give them both a ride if you can to see what meets your needs.

I own both. I bought A sportsman X2 for riding with my wife and my son. Bought a Brute 650 SRA for riding with the guys. I love both machines. Ride quality goes to the polaris, but the lighter weight makes the brute easier to throw around.

Riding style will dictate which one to choose. Ultimately you have to ride each and see which you like better. I likes them both, that's why I have 2!
