steering problems, 05 prarie 700

machine is very difficult to turn to the left. I am semi sure i need a new front left axel. Can anyone tell me how difficult of an operation that will be and can a shade tree mechanic manage it.

Yes U can!

Get a service manual Mine are on CD u can print the pages u need no need to get a paper manual to get dirty. Average Joe can do this!

it is going to be hard to get the axel nut off they are torqued at 195 and thred locked i had to use heat and a 3 foot bare to get mine off but it is pretty stright forweard when you get the axel nut off
