It appears that I have the same problem that you had. It looks as if my freeze-type plug is dislodged totally from inside the CV housing. I plan on attacking it soon, and wonder if you can give any hint for the successful disassembly of the cage and housing. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but hopefully some hints from you will save me some time and aggravation.

Check the spring in drive shaft
I replaced the seal where the driveshaft goes into the engine. It has only been ridden a couple of times and is leaking again. Engine oil is going into the rear diff. It has flooded the diff and is in the rear brake drum. Could there be a return hole plugged and not letting the oil return to the sump? Also the right side engine cover was removed shortly before this problem started, I was wondering if there could be any connections. Could the seal around the output shaft on the engine be bad and flooding the seal that i replaced? Thanks for any help!
