Wiring - Mud Protection
#1
As I was cleaning the Brute over the weekend I got to thinking there is not any mud/water protection under the front for the wiring harnesses. Matter of fact nothing really for the engine either. Anybody had any wiring problems from all the mud and water on the wiring under the front?? I have been having a little trouble with the instrument cluster(gas gauge doesn't work and mode button works only about half the time)and wondering if it could be caused from a bad connection due to water/mud corrosion....

i have put my biek threw some muddy sloppy sticky **** and still have no problems with any of my wiring, when i clean my bike a take the seat off and wash of all the electricals then blow it all of with my air compressor, it seems to get all the heavy **** out, about the gauge situation, i dont think it the water would really hurt it to much, everything on these bikes are about %80 water tight ive notice while workin on it, but i could be wrong

The front water splashing can and will enter into your air intake though. So, be careful.
