Default 08 Bayou 250 Clutch ???'s

Recently got a deal on an 08 bayou 250. only down side is the automatic clutch is starting to slip. Any information on these would be great! I kep seeing clutch kits for sale but they all look like the standard manual clutch pack with disks. Now this has the 5spd manual tranny but its a "clutchless" shift. So is the clutch the same as with a manual tranny just with automatic operation?

Thanks
Jeff

Default There is an

automatic clutch adjustment procedure in your operator's manual. Loosen two bolts holding the adjustment cover on the right side, loosen lock nut, tighten in adjuster all the way in until tight, back out adjuster until tight, tighten lock nut and reinstall the cover. You should NOT have an issue with the clutch on a 2008 model. I doubt you should have problems on a '99 model. Good luck!

I did noy buy it new. I got is from the security company I work for. It was treated like utter sh*t!!. No one would ever shift down to first. They would start from a dead stop in 2nd or 3rd all the time. That is why I figured the clutch was shot.

I will try to ajust it and see if that helps though.

But hey, only paid $1000, yeah!
