Clutch/Trans acting funny in snow...
#1
I have had a couple of instances of odd behavior after running my '08 BF 750 through a lot of snow. It has happened on two occasions... Today it happened after getting stuck, then running through, deep snow.
Here is what happens: First, it feels a bit like the belt is slipping, but it could just be that I'm not getting good traction...
Second, the transmission doesn't want to shift easily. If it is in low, I have a bit of resistance trying to shift into reverse. Usually have to make a stop in High, blip the throttle a little, then it will go on into reverse. In neutral, it seems like it is spinning the transmission and doesn't want to go into gear. It has also died at idle a couple of times while in gear.
After it sits for a while, it seems to be fine, so I am guessing that the clutch/belt is getting wet and making it behave funny. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks is advance.
