hello to everyone!..first post, new to atvs...ok, my question is, i have the rear axel out of my 05 brute force 750. the inner boot is torn, how do you go about getting the end off? i did not see the "retainer clip" i have been hearing about. could i possibly have a differnt axel setup? i bought it used so i dont know if the axel had been replaced..any help would be great...

Which clip are you saying that it is not there?
There should one large one on the CV joint housing right under the boot. And another smaller one on the shaft end. Which one is missing?
The color of the CV joint housing (large cup looking thing) color should be green if it is the original Kawi OEM part.

OEM factory cv axle should have green end cup on both sides as shown in pic below. Black colored cup must be an aftermarket part someone else put on. That explains why there is no clip. Since no clip, I'm guessing you just have to hammer it off. Good luck.
