Belt light goes off, but switch is not flipped
I am having a problem with a Prairie 700, the belt light will flash, but the switch inside the cover is not flipped. It did this a few weeks ago, reset the light and today the same thing happens. I reset the light and about a minute or two same thing happens. Each time the switch has not been flipped. The belt is new, adjusted on the tight side and I have no idea what is going on. Can anyone help??

Ya need to reset your belt light. Its the routine check, spose to come on ever 100 hours. Im not sure were the reset plugs are on a KFX, you can go here and make a thread to find out if you cant find it. But it should have a grey plug and black plug on it somewhere, probably under the seat, and just rotate them, unplug the wire that's on top off the belt, and turn the key on for about 30-40 secs watch the light flash fast then it should slow down, turn the key back off and return the plugs to the original spot. should stop the light and limp mode.

Flashing belt light and engine going into limp home mode is not a routine check. That means there is a CVT belt trouble, like too much slack in the belt.
Steady belt light means the routine 100-hr check on the belt and CVT system.
