Hi, I just purchased an '02 Kawasaki Mojave 250. Theres not many problems with it, its been sitting for about 5 months and the gas is bad. It starts, but after the 3rd kick, and I'm gonna need to rebuild the carb. Anything I should know about doing this, I know I need to drain the gas, take out the carb and rebuild it, other than that it seems fine. Any thoughts from an owner or anything would be great. Thanks

 

You don't really need to rebuild the carb if the quad still runs fine after you start the engine, like kicking it 3 times like you said.

If nothing is worn, damaged or missing inside the carb, then it just needs a good cleaning.

Next time if the quad would not be used for more than a month, mix in some fuel stabilizer like StarTron in the fuel tank.
