I'd rather pay the extra money to get the Prairie 360 with 4x4 capabilities and a proven track record.

Good point.
The new 300 is a replacement for the entry level 2WD Bayou 250 (now discontinued), but with way more features. Here are some featurs on the 300 that old 250 didn't have:
> Water cooled engine with electric fan.
> CVT trans with centrifugal clutch
> Engine braking
> Full function Digital Dash Meter showing - speed, odometer, trip meter, fuel level, temp, gear position, etc.
> Disc brakes
> Full size floor boards
> Front storage/dry storage compartment
> Cup holder on the right side front fender
> 500 lb towing capacity
> Modern styling (looks just like mini "Brute")

If the reliability keeps up and the price is right, this may be a homerun.

i dont want an updated KYMCO with kawasaki plastic and low range.. the grizzly 300 is much more appealing now

Our rider got a kick out of it. Check out today's homepage article about his first ride:

We picked one up as a spare rig around the farm and for trail riding; so far it's been nothing but a joy to ride. It's no power house, but I was surprised how easily it took my 220 lbs anywhere I pointed it; I believe Kawasaki will do very well with this rig.
