Default Removing the belt drive from a Prairie 300

Trying to fix an oil leak on my brother's prairie 300. We have to remove the belt drive to get to a leaky seal behind it. Any idea on how to remove that? There are two big bolts running through the middle of the gears, but we don't know the right way to remove the two pieces (or put them back on)

If you're talking about the clutches and the bolts that hold them on, the primary clutch (one that is on the engine) is reverse thread so to loosen it you will turn the bolt clockwise. Once that bolt is out you will need a clutch puller bolt and those are like $35. Use the right clutch puller. You will also need to hold the clutch from turning (I use an old drive belt bolted to a short piece of square tubing. Cinch the belt up fairly snug and bolt to tube, then place belt over the clutch and use it like a pipe wrench type action to hold the clutch while you break the clutch loose (lube the end and threads of the puller with grease, it will require some force and the grease helps increase your ability to apply torque).

Now the secondary clutch, lock your brake and use a normal socket. I don't recall if it is reverse threaded or not.

My primary clutch is 55# torque to the bolt when you install it. 2000 400 4x4.
