Exclamation Looks like the 360 is going bye-bye

Just looking at Kawasaki's main page and clicking on for the future there is no mention of the 360, just the 4 versions of the Brute Force. I think the company is hurting itself by having a gap between a 300 (and according to the details is actually rated at 269cc) and the 3 configurations of the 750 (which they don't really explain what the differences are at least on their site). I'd think they'd gain a little offering a 500 model.

A small bore 300 to a big bore 750 is one big spread for sure. I think the mid bores class ATVs from 450 to 550 are the largest sellers. Not smart to not offer one at all.

They do show the 2013 360. Maybe they just haven't updated it yet. There is the 450 sport quad for those inclinded. I wish they'd make a 4x4 sport quad with good fender protection and regular clutch operated, with reverse.

Even the 360 is hard to class as a mid Bore.

The 360 has been in production since around 2002 I believe as it replaced both the 300 and 400 Prarie. I still remember thinking of getting rid of my 400 and getting a 360 around 06-07 and I spoke to the head dealer at the local farm show and even then he said to stay away from the 360 because according to him Kawasaki didn't care about it and would only put any resources(money and development) into the bigger units (what was then the 650's I believe). I haven't seen a 360 for a time, but I know having three 300 Bayou's in the 90's, only changes they made to them in the 10-12 years they were in production was changing the seat color and different decals.

I spoke with a Kawasaki engineer shortly after they discontinued the 400 and they were personally sad to see Ma Kaw discontinue the 400 because it was a really well built motor.

I rode with a guy that had a 360 and I had a 400 and his machine wasn't near as quick and fast as mine. It wasn't a surprise except I did expect the newer 360 to be a little closer in performance, especially since he could go in 2wd.

I've also wondered why Kawasaki didn't have and doesn't have a utility quad in the 500 cc area. To top it off the 300 cc is a 2 wheel drive only. So, they only have the BF 750 available now for the present model year if you want a 4wd.

Maybe after they sell all the older 360's they'll introduce something new.

Could be.
2015 will see a BF800, the BF750 is also available in '15.
No word yet on the 650's returning.
Maybe Kawie will finally offer a new mid-size 450/500 4x4 for 2015, they sell well because of the price plus allot prefer the size anyway.
