kawasaki klt200 fuel pump ?

It is probably 1 psi at idle and up to 6 at wide open throttle. Hooking up to ignition would be eAsy just hook to a wire that is hot with ignition on. I would put a switch someware so if u wanted to you could shut fuel pump off if you were working on it that did not require you to have machine running.

Yeah you may be able to rig up some electrical pump, but honestly, if you can find a working used OEM part, get it. May be a little expensive but it will be worth it.

im assuming your defective pump is mechanical judging by the description. So it would have operated off engine rpm the higher the rpm the higher the pressure. I could be wrong. With a electric pump on a veh they are usually set at a consistent pressure and the system is set up in a loop so any fuel that is not needed is returned back to the tank.

Hi Zrock
So from what you are saying if I go to electric pump from my mechanical
pump will that work and if so how do I do the return line will that take a different carb with the return line on it.
ps I found a mechanical pump at my neighborhood shop seems to work ok havent got out and road yet but at idle and throttling up seems ok
I still might like electric if can be done
Thanks THEDDAUG

Honestly I have no idea how I would do it. It's one of those things I would have to have in front of me and then stare at it for hours waste about a tank of fuel running back and forth to the parts store. Throw a few tools around with a few choice words. And then voila figure it out with a simple idea. You know how it is. Hehe
