Default Need to make 2014 KFX 50 faster

First post here. Just got my son a KFX 50 and wanted to see if I could make it faster. Without buying anything, how can I achieve this?

Have you taken the restricter out of the exhaust?

No, I haven't. It's on the end of the exhaust held by only one screw?

I bought one of these for my grandson in 2004, it had a metal puck in the exhaust right up by the head. The puck had about a quarter inch hole in it to restrict the flow,,once I took that out it was like night and day. Did you get a manual with it because that's how I found out about it. We still have this quad its been a great machine and I've only had to replace a brake cable

I just took it out of the exhaust. I do have the manual but didn't see it in there. Will update in a sec.
Edit: That did the trick. Still need to break it in before my son uses it. I know he'll want to ride it wide open. Thanks for all your help miniexcavator!

watch for a glowing header now, opening things up can sometimes cause it to go lean.
