Default Will a kawi bayou 220 start with no battery?

Bike came factory with a battery, none in it now, bike has fuel and spark, won't won't start at all. So will it run without a batt or does it need voltage to run? Thanks

I have never tried it, tho I have owned a couple of the 220's. When the battery failed.....I replaced it. Try replacing the battery and then try to start it.

I'm pretty sure you need a battery for any quad to run. A battery is not just for starting the machine. Without a battery, your ignition system wouldn't work and the quad would just die. Try disconnecting the battery on a properly running quad. It will die instantly. I wouldn't really recommend actually doing it but it will kill the engine just as easily as disconnecting the plug wire. You need both for a quad to run. Now the battery doesn't have to be fully charged for the quad to run but it has to be there. That's why most quads have backup pullstart if the battery or starter is too weak to start them. Actually on some newer efi quads, even that won't work as efi needs a fully charged battery for the quad to run properly.

The bike has spark with no battery in it. With spark and fuel down the plug hole, it does not even attempt to kick
