Yeah just keep on riding those loooooonnngg wheelies like i did and then when the motor locks up you'll be screwed. I rode thousands of wheelies until one day i came back down from a wheelie and about 30 seconds later it locked up. Crank, rod, and piston had to be replaced. the dealer said it was because of the wheelies. How this is true i dunno but its not all that good for an engine to ride one for 63 feet.

The only thing that I can think of that would cause a lock up is if all of the oil ran back away from key internal parts.A well built machine shouldnt do this.No offence man but I think your service guy might have been making excuses for a factory defect.

You have to remember that the 400ex uses a dry sump engine, so even if you wheelie it for 10 miles it will get oil. A Kawsaki Bayou on the other is a wet sump. The oil pump is just slightly forward of the center of the engin onthe bottom. A long duration wheelie of suffiecient angle could eventually starve the engine of oil.
